Hi all you Blog Readers - my turn to blog!
It is time for the Pittsburgh and Chicago shows. On a personal note, I feel much better than the last few weeks. My skates are dead and so are my legs. Long plane rides and not enough skating during the week or Physio. So, I am hoping more time on the ice and two Physio appointments and I can enjoy my shows this weekend.
I also held a small rehearsal this week to make a couple little changes to the finale. Being choreographer, it gets a tad embarrassing when I have to ask the cast to remind me of a step. In the show, I have been enjoying the guys’ transitions as well as our group number with the lights on the ice. I am so very proud of the cast as I believe they have done a fantastic job with the show and limited rehearsal time.
Off the ice today we got back to our pre-show tradition of playing soccer. John Kerr is crazy running at 110% all the time. Felt good to sneak the ball away from him while back-checking and score. Zimmerman and Bradley hit shin bones, so watch for matching limps during the show today. Show time now!!! More blogging later…
Here we are in Chicago forming a poster signing assembly line. We have a Smucker's reception before the show today and the posters are for our Smucker's guests. We flew in from Pittsburgh today and expect a good crowd here in Chicago.
Backstage in Pittsburgh as Ryan JUST finished a quick change. Four seconds sooner and it would have been a completely different picture!!?
Here is my hotel window view in Pittsburgh. You can see the Consul Energy Center where we performed the show and on the left is the old Mellon Arena being torn down. I have many memories of Stars shows in that building so it is strange to see it look as though half of it was just bitten off.
